Hello! I’ve been growing bonsai trees since 2004, and every day of the year I spend time maintaining my collection of hundreds of trees. I want to pass along my knowledge of bonsai to you! We can talk about proper watering, pruning/shaping, repotting, dealing with pests, and everything else you need to know to be successful growing bonsai. But we won’t just talk about those things, we will be doing these things.


During our time, I can answer your questions. Maybe you’d like to know more about a specific species? Or a specific task? Maybe you have a tree you’d like help with? Our time together can shift, in order to cover the topics and tasks you’re most interested in learning about. The initial goal will be covering the fundamentals of bonsai care, but we can certainly use the time to cover other topics, if you’re already a bit more experienced, or need additional advice on a certain topic or task.

I know some of my visitors travel 2+ hours to visit, so it’s ok to bring a friend, if you choose.

$80 for a two hour, one-on-one session covering the most important bonsai care fundamentals, or a session covering the bonsai topics you’re most interested in knowing more about. The fundamentals would typically cover and demonstrate proper watering, proper environment, pruning/shaping, and repotting. All of the most important steps to success, but we can use the time however you’d like to, if there’s something more specific you’d like to focus on.

OR, “BYOB” (Bring your own bonsai). We’ll still cover the bonsai care fundamentals, if you’d like, or other topics of your choice, while we spend time working on, and talking about your tree.

Is two hours too much? We can do one hour for $50.
